Do any goalies here use traditional?? i only know of 1 goalie that i play against that uses traditional stringing. just wanted to know if anyone else does

Some of the goalies in my highschool league did just because they weren't that good, and that's all the equipment closet had for them.
I don't, and I can't think of a good reason why anyone would want to. Mesh is just so much easier.

i dont see much of a reason to do it. ive strung a goalie trad for someone, it didnt make much sense. they can have a good release, but once you get some water, your done. and your pocket will be instantly out for the count.

They are more common on wood goalie sticks in box. I use a double traditional on my wood stick and have found that it has a great release when throwing. Also, IMO, a double traditional holds a pocket more consistently.

Ive strung two, once in a Goalmaster and another in a Sentinal. Great at first, but once they get wet you realize you just wasted a buttload of crosslace.
