I just got braces a few months ago and I got the Shcok Doctor Gravity. It really helps your breathing and you can talk really clearly. And it might have saved me from a concussion once or twice during indoor.

well i have braces and my teeth are pretty crooked, and if your teeth are pretty crooked right now, none of the shock doctor mouthpieces will do ya, especially the one made for braces because you cant boil that.
what i do is get the 2 dollar mouthpieces because theyre HUGE and you can boil them to your teeth, the drawback however is, i go through about 2 mouthpieces a month, because my braces scrape them up

When i had braces my orthodontist had some special mouthpieces that covered your teeth and cheeks so they didn't get scraped up, it worked fine for me. I just got my braces off a couple of weeks ago though, so I don't have to worry about it!

ok. I have braces, and my dads a dentist. Instead of dropping 20 bucks on a mouthguard we got one of those 99cent ones (my dad gets em for about 25 cents a guard) and just put it under hot water from the faucet for a minute or so, then put it in my mouth. Keep it in there for a minute or two and it will have conformed to the shape of the braces. The guard shouldnt be that hot after putting it under the water.

The Gravity is illegal in CO. Two guys on my team had to get different mouth pieces because the ref said they were illegal.

Where can you get the gravity mouth piece. I about it somewhere, and I really like it since I can't talk with a regular mouth piece without sounding like the kid from family guy that likes meg.

I don't know about where you live, but here, the clear mouth guards are illegal because the refs can't see if you have one in or not.

I just wanted to say that those SHock Doctor mouthpieces are soo expensive. Are they truely worth it compared to one of those $3 regular mouthpieces?

No, not in HS or college, if they have a colored stripe in the middle, they are legal, but all clear are not.

Soooo...your wrong. they just handed down a ruling on the gravity, and it is now illegal. look in the rules forum for the whole deal. The ref may just not have gotten to ruling yet.

i had one of those shock doctor braces kind and i payed a bunch of money for it and i hated it. i sent them an email to complain and they sent me 2 free mouthpieces that are clear with a black stripe by your 2 front teeth and since i have braces i just reboil it every month or so because my teeth are shifting so much from my braces.

see, he does what i do. Cheap mouth guards work best for crooked teeth that have braces

o man, this got me thinking, i should buy a new mouthpiece. Mine is really old and chewed. pretty gross.
i think sumone said it bfore, but get a cheap moldable piece and boil it to fit your braces perfectly. If it not right, just do it again till your like it. Be prepared to make multiples, becuase your teeth are going to change position when you have a palet expander AND braces.
So each time you get your pallet widened or braces tightened, id make a new one so your braces dont do nothing.
