I only want people to reply who have experience with the Crankshaft poles.
How does it throw compared to a normal pole and what are some advantages and disadvantages of using a crankshaft on d?
Thanks

I don't see what the advantage would be to a crankshaft pole...kinda pointless if you ask me.

I just got a crankshaft for my birthday with a kannon head.
These sticks are sweet. I love mine. It takes a while to get used to though.
I would get one but they are kinda expensive but are definately worth the $.

they have crank long poles, but they are still 7050... at a post collegiate tournament i saw one get bent to like a 45* angle.

I think the point of the crankshaft is to somewhat mimic the offset and have a quicker release and such, so i dont think it would have that much of a difference.

I've had a crankshaft longpole/x3 for a couple of weeks now, and I think its amazing. It's really light for a pole, almost (but not quite) as light as a kpro. You can also feel the ball more with the crankshaft then with a normal stick. There are questions about its durability, but its holding up fine for me so far. All things considered, I think $130 for a complete stick is rvery esonable, espically when you get to use an x3 for defence!

apparently it is indeed used to mimic an offset as STX apparently do not have the patent for it.

On my summer team a D-pole used the Ti crankshaft with an X3. He loved it and still does.
Though it does cost a lot.

The crankshaft is not as bad as everyone thinks. It does dent easy, but no big dents. The kannon is the only head to get. Throws similar to any other stick. But you get a better feel for the ball.

so would it help out with long passes or is the whole point for a faster shot release so there wouldnt be a big point of me getting one

IMO, there is a "big point" to getting one. It helps me clear farther and hold onto the ball better. However, I've been told by other people that they can't feel anything different when using the CS. So if I were you, I would only buy it if you love the x3, because thats what your pretty much locked in to using it.
