Ok, i have been playing lacrosse for a long time now. I played D-fense. Anyway, i love playing golie, and i am thinking about trying it out. i was wondering if there is anyway to improve my refexes/ golie skills without someone else shooting on me.

THANKS!

ps(what kind of chest protector should i get)

I dont know about reflexes, but I would try something like a Brine Eraser or a STX Chopper. Here are a few CPs http://lacrossemonkey.com/gochpr.html.

One reflex drill I've heard of is using a tree and throwing a ball at a mild pase at it from about 3-7 feet away. The curve of the tree and the grooves of the bark will make the balls next path unpredictable. Not sure how much it helps, but its worth a try.

Really though, just have somebody shoot on you. If you play goal, its going to happen eventualy, might as well get used to it so you don't crap yourself when you try to get in net during a practice or a game...

there are probably 70000000000000000000000000000000000000 new goalie threads on here. Check out the megathreads and stickies, and use the search bar...

Just make sure you get warmed up properly, and just make sure you step to every shot and get down on ground balls. As for CP's, go with something that covers your body and is flexible. BTW, don't get the STX chopper CP, I hate the two piece.

i have the stx chopper and i think it is really comfortable the 2 piece setup lets u bend down and it doesnt get in your way, which i like
