Is IL Worth It?

Im in the UK and have just begun playing lacrosse at the tender age of 20, now ive become obsessed by the sport and am considering subcribing to IL.

however the problem is it would cost me a rather massive $88 to subscribe, double the price it is to you N.amercian guys.

how big is the usual magazine and would it be worth me paying this amount of money. currently the only magazine i have access to is the ELAs quarterly publication.

objective opinions please.

It actully is full of info. It would easily take me a month to finish it if I read it from cover to cover. I don't know if its worth 88.00 though because alot of the information is accessable over the internet. Not all, but alot.

i think it is worth it. it is a pretty thick mag full of great info. maybe subscribe to their on-line magizine if you don't wanna pay 88

Mm, I don't know if I would completely agree. I'm obsessed with the sport, but if I had to pay $88 I certainly would not. IL caters more to specific parts of the sport, so you really want to make sure it has what you're looking for. That being said, IL offers a trail to people who are interested in the magazine, but aren't quite sure if they want to subscribe.They'll basically send you an old copy of the magazine for you to get an idea of what it is all about (although that might be for the US only). Find a buddy in the U.S. and ship him like 5$ a month so he can ship you his IL when he's through with it.

Not a very big fan of the mag, most of the info can be found elsewhere for free, too D1-centric.

More stuff on lacrosse technique and tings other than D1 games and players would be nice. TLF is free and I'm far more entertained byt TLF than the mag.

Yes and its only $5 so its not really that expensive for a really good 180 page magazine
I've payed $7 for a paintball magazine half as good as IL because it was all they had

Maybe you and your UK buddies can all chip into a subscription and share it with each other when you are done.

i agree that if you can find friends to share a subscription w/ then get one, but 88 bucks for a mag subscription is in my opinion ridiculous. lots of the info you can get online, and heck...i'll write you out articles if you really want just to spare you.

don't get me wrong, it's the best lacrosse mag out there, but not worth an 88 buck subscription.

think about it...88 can get you a nice new lacrosse head to PLAY lacrosse as opposed to read about it :)

Unfortunatly $88 is a fair amount of money for a student like me!
i mean i would love to get it, but its alot of money. unfortunately i cant get hold of the free trial since its US only which sucks and i have no friends in the US :/
