So I might be making a trip to Brasil this summer. I will be staying with an exchange student at school. We will partying alot. I'm going to work all summer, and hopefully my parents will let me, and I'll have enough money. I can't wait. He said it's so cool there.

They are not remotely close to being the same. I will not be an exchange student, I will be staying in Brasil with one I know from school.

Yes because if you're speaking Portuguese then the correct way to say it is Brasil but if you're speaking English, it's Brazil.
