My daughter wants to attend some learning camps this summer. Local camps (Austin, TX) are being offered by Camp "companies" called Trilogy, Adrenaline, and Spartan. She has two years experience and is 14 years old. Each camp session offered are for girls, not co-ed. Does anyone out there have experience with any of these companies? Good/Bad/Indifferent?

I have experience with Adrenaline--they put a tournament/clinlic together out in California when I was a freshman. It was a lot of fun and the counselors were great. They really stressed the fundamentals.

Do you know who is running the Adrenaline one?

It is being coordinated through the local Southswell Sports, but the Coaches have not yet been announced.

Thanks for your feedback... Does anyone have experience with Trilogy? They advertise in the lacrosse mags...

My daughter attended a clinic run by Jill Allbee, who is one of the Adrenaline directors. She was awesome! If Jill's involved, I'd go for it.

I'm one of the Directors for the Spartan Lacrosse Camp. This is our first year doing girls but we're very excited. I think when you compare camps dollar to dollar you will definitely get more bang for your buck with us. We are a full week and we go into individual skills, team skills, and games every night. One of our other goals of the camp is to show the different levels of the camp. We have staff that have played semi pro, NCAA D1-D3, and collegiate club. We like to promote the sport and we have the staff and bring in coaches to give the kids insight about the possibility of playing in college no matter what level they are interested in. Two of our womens' coaches actually will be representing Team USA in the Prague Cup this summer. Although our second year we feel that we had a great camp last summer and will do whatever we can to improve. We actually talked to many kids who attended different camps to find out what they liked and what they wanted to see more of. If you have any other questions I'd be more then happy to talk.

i will be coaching the men's session, and i can tell you from last year's experience, the programming should be very suitable for her level of experience.

and the Spartan camp is a camp put on by the St. Stephen's school

Thank-you Wheels and Chris,

All of these camps sound pretty good. It's great to finally have quality choices for girls here in central Texas. You guys have made it harder to choose rather than easier!! Maybe I'll just send her to all three camps...

Any info on Trilogy? Anyone? Anyone?
