You could also go out to Target, K-Mart, or Wal-Mart and grab some generic sweat pants for really cheap. I mean honestly, have you ever bought clothes before?

You can buy sweatpants just about any wear. Then you just cut the bottoms off if you dont like the cuffs on them, that is what i did.

i like the cuffs a bit more, then i tape them to keep them in place. they feel good, dont really interfere with your legs. you should team order, i use my teams pants from this year and they were definetely worth the 20 we paid for them.

Yeah, the sweats I wear are just a simple pair of cotton sweatpents from Dunhams.

For cuffs, I just roll them up right by my knees until they comfortably sit in a spot where it won't slip down.

i like them with the cuffs. playing in the rain they dont drag on the ground and dont suck up all the water.

I wear sweats for the cold part of the season, but once it warms up, they're off, because I like my shorts more. I have some nice cottons, but i prefer my pair of like running pants which are really nice for super-cold windy snowy games, and don't weigh me down like my cotton sweats.

Model's $15. Warm and comfortable.
And if any girl goalie happened to be wondering, no they don't make them for girls.
I've checked everywhere I could think of.
So my solution, wear guys sweatpants.
I mean.. you're already in goal with all that padding.
You can't look any worse.
(From the whole, 'agh! i look bad in these' point of view)
Because there's bound to be some girl goalies like that.
No offense.

I wear sweats all year round. I like moving a lot which a lot of time requires me being on my knees so it kinda keeps the burn off. Plus you get a few lucky saves once in a while.

When I played high school lacrosse (back in the old days) I sewed a large pocket into each thigh of my sweats and then inserted some football thigh pads. They were great. Nowadays you can just buy the shorts with the padding already built in, but 20 years ago we didn't have all this fancy-schmancy high tech gear to choose from. I swore by those sweats then but don't wear them anymore.

yeah, i love sweats. i'm a girl and don't care what i look like out there as long as it's comfortable and like ^above, sometimes you have to make some saves on your knees : ) plus i don't wear thighpads since all the guys picked on me for being a wuss...so sweats take the sting off too!

laxgoalie89

you can do that? here we have to wear pads, thighpads and shinguards...this sucks

we got some freaking awesome team sweatpants last year. i refuse to wear them in games, but i relish the cold practices that i get to wear them. they're just so dang comfortable, especially if they're just over compression shorts.

Do you guys wear sweatpants in hot games? (like 60 degrees+ ?) because i was thinking about it, but i thought it would look goofy wearing sweet pants in hot weather.
i mean the sweat pants i have are nice, they have our team logo on it and all, just, i think it would be wierd in hot weather, but i don't want to wear goalie pants, i tried them, WAY to much protection and gives up WAY to much mobility.
anyway, i was also wondering, i know they say "Sweat pants" but do you sweat uncontrollably in hot weather? cuz i don't want it too look like i just pissed myself lol.

As long as you roll them up to your knees it wont look that bad, and they breath suprisingly well. I didnt wear them at all this season but im thinking i might next year. cuz there are some guys that shot 95+ in my league and plus it looks pretty sweet if u wear them right.

yea lol.... thats what i was thinking. i don't have anybody that shoots THAT fast, but i have some top shooters. Plus, i just graduated freshmen year yesterday so i'm a sophmore, and im gonna be on varsity next year as a back up goalie to my good friend who is a year older then me. although im back up, i stil want to be protected, but have more flexibilty because i wore goalie pants in my JV league ( i got hit in the groin once, made it purple and ugly colors, thats when i decided to wear goalie pants, not for the legs, but for the extra protection around the groin/cup area-worked great, but all the padding on my legs slowed me down, so i think just alitte padding like sweat pants would be great.

thanks for all your help!

I swear by my lucky MICKEY MOUSE sweatpants. They are so nice when u have to go to the ground because our school has a turf field. And also they work head games on people because they are all like "look at the loser in the Mickey Mouse sweatpants" and then "WHAM" they're trying to find their mouthgaurd.

The moarale of the story is don't mess with a 6 foot 3 goalie, 215 pound goalie wearing Mickey Mouse sweatpants!

I wear sweat pants to games where I know its gonna be cold. But if you looking to buy some just get ones with the elastic bottoms and cut the elastic. Ther much easier to find and cheaper.
