throwing fakes (how to string)

i was watching these two coaches and they were warming up a goalie and then started playing goalie confusion on him. first they started ripping shots at him then they started to throw all these crazy fakes and stuff. i was wondering how i can string my head so i can shoot the ball accurate and fast but still have so i can throw some sick fakes.

p.s. i know how to string it so it will throw fakes but when i did that id shoot fast and the ball would stay in the stick and come out somewhere else

you dont need to string your stick a specific way to throw fakes or shoot realy fast.... if this helps, look for ORANGE's tutorial on doubling up diamonds

You can do sick fakes with any pocket. It just takes practice.

I know what you saying. he wants to have a high pocket without whip. Ask sidewinder because he helped me do mine

You can throw fakes with any style of a pocket, but high pocket offers more hold so you will be able to do more extreme fakes. The best way to have a good fake is practice.

Well, the only way I know how is tighten up the shooting string but that adds a ton of whip... I have a guru it has a ton of whip and I can throw the sickest fakes you ever did see.

I think this is the first time ever I've disagreed with AM17. Whip and hold are huge factors in throwing fakes, with practice you don't need a lot, but it definitely helps and you wont throw many fakes with a ramp.

To answer your question I'd recommend a good channeled pocket with a u or two.

Yeah, whip plays a LARGE factor in really nice fakes.

high pockets help. tight shooters help, tradditional or soft mesh helps, practice helps more. with enough practice you can fake a full power shot no problem, just do it outside away from your moms fine china or a tv.
