Something to chew on or suck on. Jolly ranchers, jerky, gum.

Or if you're over 18, dip.

When i take a 20 hour trip from here to florida i usually just listen to music, watch a dvd on a portable dvd player and eat. Also, if you have any homework, that could be a good time to do it.

man, i do love long bus rides...some tried and true activities include:

sleeping

waiting for others to fall asleep and writing on their faces.

gambling for candy, money, people's clothes, people's souls.

buying posters to decorate the back of the bus.

starting whole-bus throwing-things wars

mooning motorists

( i don't condone doing this, but my friend did it and it was honestly one of the funniest things ive ever seen): urinating in a bottle and rolling it under the seats and seeing who finds it.

trying to fit in luggage racks.

bringing miniature musical instruments and jamming

screaming obcenities from the back of the bus, but with your voice disguised so chaperones can't figure it out.

prank calling french bakeries

books

...try a 3 day bus ride from ny to texas...
Yeah, over the past year, the tourney sched has been:
740 miles (13 hours) to Ft. Collins, CO
720 Miles (11 hours) to Las Vegas, NV
2130 miles (44 hours, driven straight) to Shelton Connecticut; and of course, each of these listings is only one way, so multiply by two...

Maybe it's 'cause I'm old, but I actually like the long drives...they give me unlimited time to think reflectively on life, etc...I now find them relaxing.

This year will be Florida and Las Vegas again, unless they move the event to California or something...

Take a few books, so if you get bored with one, you can go to another..or take some time to think reflectively about life, eh?

So the other stuff you do condone? Sheeesh! Yeah, they're funny, buy hey, dude, it appears that you can only get your kicks with things that hurt, discomfort, or demean other people...what is that, eh?

i guess i'm just a hollow, hollow shell of a person...

nah...i mean, drawing on peoples faces is kind of mean i guess, but it's usually only in retaliation. and the prank call is just a tradition that goes back to middle school; by now we know the bakery staff well, and they know us and realize it's all good fun. but i'd say the rest of it is just good ol' teenage boy fun. i usually spend most of my time reading on bus rides, those are just some highlights from my tripping days. i'll chalk it up to that combination of excitement, sleep deprivation, sugar and caffeine that normally accompanies long bus trips.

and yes, mini-jams are awesome. but apparently ukulele and kazzoo harmonies eventually grate on chaperone's nerves.

Prank call your parents saying you've been in a horrible accident.
Prank call basically everybody you know.
Bring mini speakers for your iPod so you can jam in the back of the bus with people.
Get in slap fights.
Write a goofy story about your friends where bad stuff happens to them.
Bring saran wrap to trap somebody in their chair.

where are you going/who are you playing? the farthest teams that we play are in wilkes-barre and down in philly, no more than 2 hours on a bus.

well my longest was like 6 hours, Gretzky on PSP works very well, other than that just wait for someone to fall asleep and mess with them. Ofcourse ipods work well too. Or you can play this drawing game where like you fold a piece of paper in half and one person draws the top half of a person/monster/creature and they turn it over and draw tiny lines for references and then the other person draws the bottom half. Memory games work good as well.

You must have weak stomachs...in wrestling, on the way home we would have the heavyweight vs. the rest of the team fights in the back of the bus. Our coach was so chill, he would just laugh at us. We would be more tired from doing that than actually wrestling

you live in moose jaw saskachewan.. i dont think anywhere natinals have been would be 48 hours away. was it to victoria? because that was last year and then theyve been close to you everyother year. the only place i could see being 48 hours away would be up nunavit or something and they dont have nationals there.

oh ya buss rides though

wait till your team mates sleep then mess with them. tooth paste and shaving cream can really make stuff funny.

Bring a can of dip, and people who have never done it will try, and put too much in and then get sick.A kid on my team tried it, and drank a gatorade while he was dipping, and swallowed a ton of dip, he came out and was literally green.

Our coaches fell asleep and we drew on their faces hilarious at the time, but that next practice was not a fun one.
