So i just bought a new pair of running shoes, not sure if its the cause, but anyways. I've been getting these really bad leg pains in both legs, hard to describe where, but its like, from below the knee, to the ankle, but on the outside of my leg, basically like whatever that bone is that runs up the outside of your leg. anyone else get this? Is there some sort of insert i should get for my shoes maybe?

Sounds like you might have shin splints. If so it might be because your new shoes don't give you very good arch support. You could try to buy a generic dr. scholls insole or you could go to an orthopedic specialist to get a really expensive one.

If you are not sure what it is, and it is really hurting you, consult a doctor. It just sounds like shin splints to me, but just to be sure you should go to the doctor and see what they say it is.

this is most definitely shinsplints......a physical therapist will give you stretches to do that will strengthen the muscles that are causing the shin splints and they will massage them to relieve the pain.....if for some reason you dont want to go to a doctor for them you can do what i do the night before games. I contiually heat my legs with heat pads and then ice them. do this for a while and your legs will not hurt during the game. it also helps to take like a naproxen sodium pill or some painkiller like that like a half an hour before your game or practice
