My son is a goalie, has a new Gait Identity helmet. Does anyone know how to put neck protection on Gait helmets or what kind to get that fits? Did Gait think of that when they designed the helmet?

take a cascade one and use string to attach it to the chin/bottom of the cage, hockey style.

There is a phone number on the box and on the sticker on the helmet. While I was unable to find the part number on the Internet, even on Gait's website, they were able to give me the part number over the phone. Our local Lacrosse Shop would have been able to order it for us... but my daughter ended up doing just what Sidewinder is suggesting -- stringing on a clear Cascade guard onto her Identity; it works great and I am convinced is a safe, sound solution.

So you can go either way...

BTW, she really likes the helmet!

Get the tie on cascade ones, they are cheap and easy to put on. Don't get the drill in ones because its gonna be a waste of 30+ dollars if it has a no fit.

The Cascade style nor any strap on fit this helmet, if they did I wouldn't be posting the question for help.

Not sure if this intended for the old style helmet or the new, but I would bet it is compatible with both. You can likely get any of the other guards to work as well. You'd just need to figure out the spot to drill on the helmet.

I would go with the Cascade, as it tends to be customizable for all helmets.

That's for the old Gait. The Identity throat guard is clear. But I don't know where to get it.

Yeah, the pictures I took of the Identity that they were previewing over the summer had a throat guard, but it didn't have any decals or anything on it. I don't know if they plan to release one, but they had a casecade drill-in type one and was clear, as you mentioned. Might be worth trying to get a casecade one to fit, but maybe the best option is just to call/email Gait up as get their opinon on what to use.
