go to a wall and throw off the wall 50 times in your right hand, then 50 times in your left. Then do the same thing but with one hand on the stick. This will make your weak hand better. To be a good lacrosse player you need to be able to play with the stick in both hands.

Ummmmmmmm.....actually it would be better to replace the one handed stuff with doing quick sticks, and switching hands. Honestly, coaches WILL get after you if you only have one hand on your stick, in practice and games.

It strengthens your arms when you do it with one hand. I actually meant doing quicksticks with one hand

:agree: I understand that, but because he is a beginning player he should build up to doing one hand.

work on your agility/endurance
find a tree or a pole or something and practice your dodges on it
throw the ball a few yards a way and sprint full speed and pick up the groundball
shoot at a fence of some sort/or a cage
and make sure you practice with gloves on

I am in track right now, so i'm probably not gonna do any extra running right now, but i will work on wallball stuff and all that good stuff. Those trees are gonna look like their standing still when i go right around them tho.

just practice a split and a roll dodge, get used to changing hands
or if you want, go for a bull dodge

well your gonna have to quit track to play lax but if your goo at that stuff especially soccar and track midfield would be the best....you can just make up your own drillis in your backyard. just mak up a drill that works the important basics. both hand passing/shooting and oth hand groun balls...get that stuff down with the right technique and your gonna be great. a good video thing to buy that REALLY works on techniquie is Mark Millon Offensive wizardry. he really emphasizes technique. hope this helps!

Cradleing is the foundation of lacrosse.
It's what keeps the ball in the stick.
Go to one of the stickies, Read, Read, Read.

The purpose of cradling is that centrifugal force keeps the ball in and if you are hit it is more likely to stay in
