Is 21 too old to play?

I am 21 and have never played lacrosse before. Is that to old to just start getting involved in this sport? I have been searching for a team to join, but am having a very difficult time trying to find one. There are many teams for girls, but barely any for women, and they require that you have some experience playing. I even contacted a local rec. team and they told me that you have to had played before. I thought that rec. teams let anyone play regardless of their experience. I am about to just give up trying. If anyone has any info or advice it would be very appreciated. I live in Maryland in the Baltimore County area.

with that age group most probably have a lot of experience...maybe you should try to get some instruction first via clinics or camps before you play....it would be hard to just pick up the game cold in league play....especially if there are a lot of experienced players...and face it in MD most have been playing since the age of 3....lol...

lacrosse is a game where your never to old or young to start playing. its an amazing game that requires the mind more than skill (also skill though) but 21 is a fine age to start. my dad started and he is 51 and he can catch and throw and when i give him my old d pads and stuff he works just as a regular defensemen playing me one on one. go for it and try it bc its the best game in the world

I have been looking for camps and clinics but they are all for kids. Any suggestions where I can find some for adults?

my coach is 24 and he JUST started this year, and hes already coaching lol.
