inspired by the trademark cap thread. so whats yours? be it after a lax goal, football TD, or just scoring well on a test. i tend to keep my cool for the most part and not celebrate at all. unless its like one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences... which ive actually a few. then i just kind of jump around with the team.

If I make a huge save in lacrosse, I just do a small fist pump once we clear the ball.
If I did better then my friends on a test, I gloat for a bit.
I am usually laid back on big things and I do not let the excitement get to me.

I go win the next face off.

This is a great thread. Depending on the intensity of the situation, I either point to whomever fed me the ball, fist pump or scream.

Classic Fist pump... Matt Poskay-esque

I do the whole fist pump action when I clear the ball or we score. If there's a big win, I jump around and do the whole chest bump thing.

I like the thread...due to high school basketball coach, I point to the guy who fed me the assist, and line up for the next face off...

"You're only as good as your next trophy."

Great thread idea.

After I score a goal, I start walking back to the restraining line and raise the hand with my stick in it and just kinda look ahead. Every single time.

Usually me and a linemate of mine just jump up in the air and bump shoulders or one attackmen on my team and me crouch down and do 3 sideways high-fives.

I set off fireworks and have my team lick my cleats clean. [Jk!]

If its assisted, i give the assister a point and a nod...

If its unassisted, accept the high fives from my team i guess? I don't know. Depends on the situation.

once in a life time situation, i go nuts...

But on just average goals... i just kinda drop the stick into one hand and walk back to my spot. maybe a whats up, point or nod to whoever assisted me. But on most goals, no need to celebrate.

heh. As a defender, i don't score many goals. When i do, it's usually quiet laid back sort of celebration (nod to coach or assist). However, the more eccentric of our coaches occasionally tells us to do stupid looking celebrations. Some are pretty funny. Like "sheathing" your stick like a sword, or riding it around like a horse/broomstick.

I'm not a fan of them though, as they slow the game down, but if it's a friendly and relaxed, can be really funny.

At the most, I pound fists with my other attack, maby raise both hands like I was signalling the goal, but I go by the act like I've been there before (even if it can get infrequent). The rest of my team does the hooting and hollering of joy for me.

In lax? I usually turn around and walk back to the box and act like nothing happened.

I am a defender so when I score I run back just screaming and actin a fool and usually do a running chest bump with another dman

Me and my line have a handshake we do. It's pretty cool.

I yell loud when I knock people on the ground and talk a little smack but it's all in fun. I play D and haven't scored yet so I don't really have anything to celebrate aside from flatbacking people.

well at my school in every sport when we score the you do a low pound or a love 5. But we do the little hand spinning thing in lax then go low

Either just jog back to get ready for the groundball from the faceoff or go give a pound to whoever scored/passed me the ball.

fist pump with a foot kick. I've been tryna tone it down a bit tho, I think i celebrate too much after I score.....

in indoor once i got kicked out for a celebration they said he was unnecessary which it sorta was but some kid was talking trash and i scored 6 goals on him and after the sixth i told the kid to come here and i brushed the dirt off my shoes u know the bend down smack side from side on the other dude well yeah i did that.

my friend beat a guy iso indoors and he waved goodbye to him over his shoulder. i dont know if that counts but i thought it was hilarious. fist pump is the best.

sometimes in soccer you get a "shoe shine"

Hit up who ever assisted me. Or if it a nasty goal **** my stick like a shotgun.

Kids that do anything more than just a fist pump or raising their arms get a mental note from the D-men or middies on my team to completely punish them the next time they get the ball...I just walk back like nothing happend, but if it was something like a game tieing/winning score with 10 seconds left on the clock i go chest bump with my friends. Only done that twice though.

well i usually go and moon the goalie, than run around the field a few times. than i take a sip of the goalies water bottle, grab the ball out of the net, talk some crap to the other team, flex my muscles in front of my bench, autograph the ball, give it someone in the crowd. than i go and kiss my teamates hot sister, and than i sit out my 2 minute non-releasable unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

but seriously, that only happens if its a nice goal. im usually relaxed and have no expression on my face.

Well when I got my first 2 varsity goals(in the same game somehow) I went nuts...and then the 3 after those 2 that I've scored this year. It's been more of a hey cool that went in..

MNM19

I just slightly pump my fist and point at the person who gave me the assist. If its unassisted, I pump my fist a little and high five my teammates.

i don't celebrate any of my own goals being a goalie and all but the defense and I lower our heads and put a fist high in the air after each goal our team gets

Today I got my first goal this season and it was a sick nasty quick stick on a cut and it was in sudden death over time. Everyone went crazy and I got piled on. But during last year and in fall ball I normally just say yes to myself and fist my line.

lax4life6

I act like I've scored before and its no big deal. It kind of psyches out the defense and tells them that i expect to beat them

A simple yell and fist pound with the other attack and middies if there around.

Not really, the only time I scored I didn't really know what to do, so I just ran back to my spot.
