Well after reading the "things to do while grounded" thread I decided to make a "what is your longest grounding and why" thread.

I'll start it off, I got 3 months for deer humping (can I say that?) and getting caught by the cops, yeah that was fun to explain to my parents/ wrestling coach. I really got in trouble for being out past curfew.

I got two weeks for having a c on a progress report, which got pulled up to an A by the time report cards came out. pretty lame reason for getting grounded, and sorry I dont have any cooler stories, I was just never really in to breaking rules I guess...

Ive been grounded since november 06 for lying and being picked up by cops passed curfew. It's pretty lame for being grounded for 6 months but im free in 4 days!! My parents weren't going to let me play lax this season but they let me.

Theres a crerfew where you live??? liek its the law or your parents rules?? if its law then thats a pretty dumb law in my opinion. Parents should have that choice of choosing cerfew.

many places have a curfew, its supposed to keep teenagers from doing stupid things in the middle of the night like vandalism, drinking, drugs, etc. pretty easy rule to live with in my opinion.

When I lived in California and florida there was one, but it was only for loitering outside at night, if you were driving fromone house to another you were fine, as long as you had a place to go, as opposed to roaming the streets in the middle of the night.

My friend had the worst ever, hes been grounded since New Years because everyone was drinking and he got wicked sick and he was the only one that got caught so i got lucky on that one.

FYI...

Deer Humping is when you get those Deer outside of someone's house in christmas...the christmas light deer. Well, they come in sets of two, one has its head down, and the other has its head up.

You grab the one with its head up, place it on the rear of the deer with its head down, and it looks like they are attempting to procreate. Usually causes an interesting reaction the next morning when the neighbors realize whats going on.

It has nothing to do with bestiality or anything like that.

That was a good one. But luckily I am going to the better school , Jerome.

I was with 5 other guys, and we were laughing and such, making a rucus, and some elderly folks called the cops because they thought we were bashing in mail boxes. But I have matured from my experiences, and stick to the golf courses when I sneak out, and now I don't vandalize. If I sneak out it is to meet some lady friends :naughty:

Never been grounded, and never will. I don't know, maybe I just don't do anything stupid, or I just don't regard what my parents tell me to do or try to make me do. Probably a little disrespectful, but usually if anything happens I just let it slide over, or just don't say anything.

dude that sucks a lot, i got in a fight last year and wrecked this kid but he started it, I just didnt try to avoid it (Threw the best body check ive ever thrown in my life) and i hit him like once knocked him down and was about to him him again when the gym teacher ran over and broke it up. The kid was bigger than me and he was crying and I am in 9th grade. His shirt was all ripped up too. I only got 3 days ISS and my parents didnt really care at all just because he started.

My worst grounding was for a month because i got a D on my report card in FCS which wasnt my fault because i missed like 5 classes of it right before the marking period ended and i couldnt do anything about it.

hahahhahahaha this wasnt me, but one of m friends had a party with like 50 people...girls and boys and we got this fat kid in my grade (hes fat but kinda cool) drunk playing 'quarters' hahaha we were dropping the quarters in the galss and makin him drink lol...like no one else was drinking...so he went through a hole water bottle and a half by himseld and passed out. my friend j, weiner(<only word not edited)slapped him in the face (no hes not gay, but it was funny at the time) and j got grounded for 2 months and couldnt go on spriong break because the fat kid told his parents...also no i did not see j's...you know because i was a good boy and fell asleep early (not passed out or anything at all)

I haven't been "grounded" but I have gotten my car taken, which is about 10x worse to me than not being to be on the computer, ect. The first time was for about a month, maybe a week less, for having a party. The first party I have been to was my own, it was really dumb looking back on it. The second was last weekend for going to a girls house when we said we(my buddys and I) were going somewhere else. I lost my car for that shinanigan for 4 days and I have to be home at 9 now.

5 hours on 3 different occasions. Once, when I was 9 or so, for ignoring my big sister and trying to go to the mall with my friends. Once, when I was 15, for getting in a huge argument with my brother. Once, when I was 17, for lying about paying for some Blockbuster thing. Didn't get to go see snowboard movies with a pro snowboarder. Dang. My parents generally feel so bad about it (I'm a good kid, never drank, smoke, blah blah blah) that they let me off the hook. I have had 9 run-ins with the cops. Once I got pulled over for J walking. Closest I've ever come to actually getting a real ticket. But I generally don't get in trouble. So you guys, you're suckers. I even got in a fight once. Last day of school, then moved to Utah. Winner!

I don't get in trouble. I'm kind of like Dan. I'm a pretty good kid in general, so if I do get in trouble, my parents usually either laugh at it, or slap me on the wrist.

In 8th grade my teacher had us write poems about "our favorite memory". She sent just me and my friend to the computer lab, so we were messing around, and I typed up "If I Were Gay" by Stephen Lynch. Apparently she was standing over my shoulder most of the time. I got sent to the principal's office, and he just laughed, he called my parents, and they laughed too. My teacher's reaction to the principal's reaction was hilarious.

the only thing i got grounded for was leaving the apartment for three hours just to walk around and think, my dad freaked out and grounded me for 2 weeks.(i shouldve really ran away for a bit right then and there) once i hitched a ride from one of my friend's mom home without telling my dad, he freaked out AGAIN thinking someone kidnapped me.
ive drank alcohol, vandalized, stole on many occasions when i was 10(stupid things like toys and games), beat up a kid, gotten suspensions, gotten bad grades when they really counted and even got really close to doing weed once, and my parents ground because i get a ride home without telling them.

While I am not here to encourage or support underage drinking, the comparison to heroin is a bit deceiving. While you are very correct that alcoholism isn't just an addiction, it is a disease, becoming addicted to alcohol takes extremely repetitive use, unlike heroin which one or two highs can cause an addiction.
