I Need Help With My Shot

I've been noticing a lot lately that when I take my shots, I bring the stick really far back and i keep getting my stick check and the ball knocked out midshot. I know this is a BIG problem and I'd like to know what all I can do to keep it from happening. Thanks!

you don't need to wind up all the time if your shot is accurate.work on your accuracy and take a little speed off then as you get more accurate, add speed. if you have time then go ahead and wind up but if not just shorten your shot a bit
