in the nll yes, in minor box all the faceoff guys are allowed to do is rake their stick back, no clamps, no tricks, but in the NOLL they have that freedom.

NLL faceoffs are essentially run by field lacrosse rules instead of box lacrosse rules. And even then the rules don't always seem to apply.
