I prefer overhand shots because a goalie cannot tell were the shot is going. But with a sidearm shot a goalie can easily tell. What u think?

And your coaches will also prefer you use overhand until you become more consistent with sidearms

I prefer a Underarm/Sidearm mix shot, I feel that I am the fastest that way, and I do not feel as if I give away much accuracy at all. I hardly go overhand unless I'm bouncing it topshelf [I still underhand that occasionally], or am going for a bottom corner. But I do shoot all three ways, because its best to have all 3 at your disposal..

if you hide your stick properly goalie shouldnt be able to tell where your shot is going either way

i like in between overhand and sidearm for the outside cranks. i am most accurate with that and its also the fasest for me. but when i think about it i use all types. yesterday in my game i shot over, 3/4, sidearm, sidearm bounce, BTB, and i think i had an underhand wormburner too.

I can shoot the ball 6-7 mph faster with a half underhand half sideharm (1/4?) shot than with my my overhand shot. I don't ever really shoot like that in a game though.

over hand more accurate and more power, goalie cant judge it as good either

I don't understand how people are saying overhand is harder for a goalie to see.. If you're hiding your stick well and have any stick skills what-so-ever you can change planes and choosing your spot to shoot, making it equally as hard to see...

a kid on my team has a nasty underhand that is hidden until the last second then nail the corners but he cant shoot otherwise.
I love sidearm/ 3/4, love to hit those corners

i like to use a good mix. on the run i tend to shoot overhand more, but sidearms can be useful when trying to get around defenders (like on a man-up)

Thats why you don't dodge on man-up, You work it around and look for the lay-up or the time and room.

all depends. crank, or coming out of something like a roll dodge, probly sidearm. standing open in the middle of the box, overhand

As long as it bounces I'm good with it.

thats not true because as soon as a a goalie sees u drop the head of your stick hell just mimick it and hell save it every time if he any good
