Throwing problem with longpole

My friend just re-strung my newly bought revo pro on my klyte an I was using it today playing wallball and it would throw low when I threw it over my shoulder but at a normal level when I threw it like a shortpole( where you stretch out ur arms and create a hole). I was wondering what was the correct way to throw it and how, and where to place your hands depending on the type of throw.

same as using a shorty, but u kinda gotta take a longer wind up cause of the shaft length, im a pole and i hands down have the best handling skills on the team fool around with my shorty, idk if its cause i have whip in my stick, but i snap my wrists when i throw too
