this might be a preference thread, but if you fit your helmet right, it might become a powerful ally on a really sunny day.

Well legally, you can only have a clear visor. But I'm guessing more tint, helps more, I wouldnt know though.

i thought you could have a 20% tint or 40 and still be legal, or maybe thats with a doctors note

two people on my team have visors and I think that they are 60%. The refs in Birmingham don't really know the difference so as far as they are concerned, it could be clear or it could be mirrored (which would look crazy I might add).

yeah... i play in one of the more serious high school lacrosse conferences (the MIAA)... and two of our players have visors that are at least 60%... they havent been spoken to yet. weve had 8 games.

NFHS rules require visors to be clear or it would be a 1min UR technical foul (like missing a mouth piece). It has be be removed. NCAA allows a visor with a doctor's note. International (club) rules allow it. I use one instead of wearing oakley M frames under my helmnet during a sunny day. I have gotten so used to wearing sunglasses outdorrs, that playing without something seems weird.

I would literally kill to play in the MIAA, let alone play in Maryland. I'm lucky enough to get to go to the Naval Academy for a camp this year. Man is Alabama boring.

Sorry if I hijacked a little...

And also, Brain, when you say that the NFHS rule has been removed, does that mean you can wear mirrored visors without penalty?

NFHS, --Visor must be clear. Doctors note don't mean crap.

NCAA- Clear allowed, Tinted allowed with doctors note.
My summer team is playing under NCAA rules, and my eyes are sensitive to light slightly, so I can get a doc note, to wear my 20 percent tinted visor [As dark as she goes]. And I think it looks absolutely amazing, especially on Faceoffs. So, yeah its worth the hassle. And on snowwy days, they help to [ I wore a clear one when there was a blizzard game earlier this season]. So yeah, its worth it.

That dumb. You realize at one point, people were saying that to football and hockey players.
Give it time to catch on, itll be the cool thing to do in a couple years. And they make me look like a Bamf.
