While searching the internet, I found this awesome video of how Alfie Jacques makes his legendary sticks. It goes from splitting all the way to finished stringing. If you like lacrosse, you should see this.

Yeah I've seen some of his work before. One of my friends has a stick that he claims was made by Alfie. I love how there is still some art in the making of lacrosse sticks. I really encourage people to buy wooden sticks if they like them.

I know he is connected to the Onondaga Redhawks, and you can buy all-woods at their website/proshop. hereis the link, I am considering buying an all-wood for high school. http://www.redhawkslax.com/pricecheck.sticks.html

did anyone play with one? I dont hink it would helm up agains a modern lacrosse head/shaft combo. They are sort of cool to put on a wall or som but otherwise are useless.

All-wood sticks are actually very nice to use, don't knock em before you've tried them.

I live like 20mins from where the pattersons make their sticks. they quite possibly make the best woodies on the face of the earth. My dad played w/the original patersons stick makers son and has a custom stick from about 30yrs ago. I'm gona go down there in a week or 2 and ask him to try something new. a custom left handed box stick w/an offset and a triax shaped handel. I'm pretty sure he'll hook me up because the patterson my dad played with is the one who's in charge of the family business now. When I go there I'll find all their info out and post it in a new thread.

not only do i like the sticks, but that traditional looks incredible. i feel like stringing one as soon as my mesh is destroyed.
