the middle track part. would it be better to gradually make it get wider as you go up like a big v, or just have it the same, tight width the whole way up and just flare at the top when it has to?

i dont think it would be good to make it gradually wider, its like the opposite of what a V shooter string would do. i strung mine the tight width the whole way up and it throws incredibly accurate.

no, I wouldn't make it get wider. In my opinion this would probably make it go out near the top of the head, then make it go quickly back in towards where the wholes it attaches to are. If that happens and its loose enought that would create near uncontrolable lip. I no since the two middle leathers are so tight together they don't look like a good channel to guide the ball, but it will work just fine if you do it right.

you keep the whole center track tight and the same width the whole time, different widths will lead to consistency when the ball travels out of the pocket
