I strung my Clutch and tried doubling up for the first time. It makes the pocket so much bigger. My pocket turned out great and it throws and catches amazing. Here are the pictures. C+C is welcome.

doesnt look too bad, i might suggest tightening up the sidewalls a shade bit and the last sidewall looks wierd

yea tighten up the sidewalls and that bottom one looks weird but i think it just where you skipped it to go inside to tie the knot

I would agree. I'd double up one less time because that looks like it may become illegal.

it looks like the pocket is a little off. make sure when you double up on the mesh that you double up the same amount on each side...dont double up on two holes on one side and then double up one hole on one side. catch my drift?

I usually get my mesh at jimalax but i didn't this time. I got it at stickhead lacrosse. Their source of mesh might be Jima though. I think i will take your alls advice and double up once because it is almost illegal and will probobly become illegal.

you could proably tighten your sidewalls a bit, that may change things up. hopefully make it legal.
and like what everyone else said, the bottom of that sidewall looks a bit wierd. what was your reasoning behind this?

I Did it just to make the mesh closer to the bottom of the stick. There is usually a little hole at the bottom of the sidewallso i did that to connect the mesh to the sidewall.

is that broken in much? because if it isnt you're going to either tighten those sidewalls or double up one less time because with any break in that head will be illegal.

If your gonna interlock that far down, why don't you just interlock the whole way? But otherwise looks good, just a little loose.

It looks great, but did you match up the diamonds on the sidewalls? The pocket looks a little off-center

why even double up theres so many holes on the clutch just use the holes, it looks better that way any ways.

yea i had the same problem with my clutch where i doubled up twice and it became illegal so i switched it to once and it came out great.

Its on an alloy 6000, cause im on vacation and you can't take shafts on planes. Its gonna be on a stx scandium when i get home.

Yes i have broken it in. Its been a few days and the pocket is still legal so im pretty sure it will be fine.

thats what i did on my friend's clutch. there are so many holes on the clutch that there is no need for doubling up. just string every other hole, and wherever you want your pocket, be it high, middle, or low, string two or three holes that are right next to each other. just keep those sidewalls tight. im positive that it will be 100 times better by using this method. its a lot cleaner and the extra holes are there for a reason.
