Okay, so I'm a captain that plays midfield on my middle school team. Normally, I play 1st/2nd line. (Depending on one captain who plays both middie and attack.) I'm not amazing or anything like that, but I normally play well and do my best to hustle and get open for passes. Lately, though, I feel like I just can't make any good looks or even catch/throw properly. I'm in a slump. I know it's all in my head, but I just can't seem to shake it off. Has anyone else on TLF been in a slump? How'd you get over it?

you relax, maybe get to the game early and loosen up with a buddy just playing catch try not to think about things to much

Relax, what maki said is key.
You are probably beating yourself up because of your performance wich is below your expectations and demands.
When i "lose it" at a practise or game i usually focus on something like a patch of grass or something.

Also, a stressfull period at school or home can cause your "slump".
Just go to practise with a clear mind, i know it sounds hippy-ish but it's most likely the deal right there!

I had a slump at the beginning of my season, good thing it was just a few practices and scrimmages. I cut my hair and changed my stick lol. Since then I've been doing pretty good.

yea im in a slump to, im a sophmore and i start at attack and we were practicing fast breaks and it seems like ive been stressing out alot and it almost seem like ive lost all my fundamental skills, and it sucks cause when i get like that the coach gets on my case about it which i guess is suppose to make me better but i dont see it that way, but today i kinda got out of it, i made a couple bad passes but for the most part i was feeling good, so the morale of my little story is just keep a clear mind like dutchy said and just play cause you can obvioulsy play good if your captain and usually start.
