hey sorry if this sounds retarted or something, im just a little confused. I see all of these people on here with neon sidewall and topstring, do i have to buy the 100 yard spools to get the colored sidewall/topstring? seems like a huge waste to pay 15 bucks for 100 yards when im only going to be using like 90 inches per stringing.. is there something i dont know?

nope pretty much you gotta buy the whole spool, they are mainly for people who string a lot

Yea you can buy it from jimalax or ask for some of it in the fs/wtb forum.

well you could go to lax.com and buy a single piece. thats whati do. i don't want to buy an entire spool of neon pink sidewall string. i just buy pieces from lax.com. they're only like a dollar too.

Yes, you need an entire spool. Do not get the "tipped strings" because those are nylon shooters and will be too big for sidewalls and top. If you buy a spool you can either split it with someone you no or cut off like 10-20 yards and sell/trade it here. The only thing is, especially if you get into stringing, you might need the whole 100.

Whats the difference between topstring and sidewall string? my guess is topstring is thicker?

i jsut use crosslace for everything, you dont need sidewall or topstring, jsut get one kind

i use sidewall for everything, crosslace seems to break easier.

Go to lax.com if your only trying to buy a few pieces of the neon string. After buying a few at a time it does start to add up though. You could always buy a spool and try to sell some of it in the fs/wtb forum.
