ok we did a full field practice....kinda like a scrim/drill put together hed jus stop us an show us stuff. Im a middie an this is my first year playing an he calls me a "prototype middie" i dont know what he means by that but i really dont no allot of whats going on. so we are doign these scrim things an i was kinda lost. i have some stuff i am wondering. if im playing center mid(not sure if thats what its called) and i come up on the d with the ball an pass it off to an attack men should i only cut when they are at x and like down low? because i felt liek i was clogin up a lil bit when i would cut an they were up top. Also if i come up on a fastbreak an no one slides to me should i jus run up the mid or turn right or left? i was kinda nervous as to what to do when that happen it threw me off that no one was guarding me.

also if im back on d side an they are comeing up with the ball should i push them to my help or jus square up an follow them like if they are going east to west not going in for the goal?

ok this is the last one if im down on offense an they get the ball an im center mid should i run down or try to get the ball back? i see people on my team do both, but i worry if i go in for it an they get by they will have an advantage.

i no its allot an im sorry lol but there was allot goin on this was the first time i have ever been in a real "game" situation an i didnt really have time to ask anyone there.

On a fast break, never run down the middle, pick a side of the field.

If they get the ball, turn around and sprint into your defensive box and wait for him to get there, push him to a side [playing topside].

Do that, or if your team has a certain ride implemented, you could also try that. The sprinting back is more of a fast break/unsettled situation.

The cutting is a team thing, talk to your coach. I don't know what your offense is.

faceofflax is right and dont be afraid to ask questions. at your next practice go and ask your coach these questions cuz you might not be the only one on your team that is kinda lost.

on the should i run with the middie or not question pick a side perferably his weak side and force him to go that one way.
