-Blue Devil Lacrosse Club (BDLC) would be the organization that would oversee the league.
-2 Refs per game will be provided (fee - TBA).
-All players must be US Lacrosse members.
-All players will be asked to join BDLC (annual dues - TBA).
-6-8 teams with 18-22 players/team in order to play with 12 on the field.
-Weekly game options: 1 night/week, 3 games/night, 40 mins running time lasting 6:30-10:00 pm (the turf field has lights), or 2 nights/week, 2 games/night, 40 mins running time.
-League should provide reversible jerseys.
The goal is to start the league for Summer 2007. All practices will be held in Westfield on brand new turf fields with lights. Ideally, the league would operate similarly to college intramurals (I know you all played at some point). 6-8 teams would be made and would play 'regular season' games following into a tournament and ultimately producing a winner. We would like to get moving on this so that we will be able to start at the beginning of the summer rather than having this opportunity slip away from us. Please email me if you have any suggestions. Also, we would appreciate that you pass this information on to other potential players - the more the merrier!!!
