Alright so i searched and found a lot of threads about peoples injuries, but none of them said how you dealt with a bad injury. Like right now i am out for God knows how long. And its really hard for me to be around my teamates. Like all i want to do is play lacrosse and i cant. how do you deal with something like that? what would you do if you couldnt play for a season? i stinks so much :bawling:

i'm with you. i broke my foot the last practice before our fist game. i'm the best defensemen on the team to so our D is really suffering with out me.
I help out the coach a lot. I yell out the plays, talk to the D at time outs, do scouting reports and recommend match up changes. I'm basically the assist coach.

Even doing that is tough because i want to play so bad, and i feel so jealous of all my friends. The only thing that's keeping me together is the chance that if my team makes the playoffs i'll be back in time and be able to start.

I don't know what kin of injury you have but keep running/biking/eliptical machining, in the weight room to keep your cardio up in case you do return.

If you find it completely unbearable to watch or be around the game, then tell the coach you can't help out and study school work or something(you'd be a really bad teammate/ friend if you can't just sit there and cheer for your team)

P.S. keep the book and do water

ya i do keep the book and do water, im also a bit like the assistant coach. I do run still and i go to PT, but i cant lift weights cuz it is my back and so it starts to hurt a lot. I use my back for everything so it is taking a long time to get better

One of my players is in a much worse situation ethslax. He wants to play (like you), feels fine to play, but he got hurt back in January and his doctor won't clear him to play. He might be out the rest of the season and it is killing him. I have him help out warming up the goalies and working on running drills, but I can tell he feels like he has been kicked in the teeth when lacrosse became "work" to him.

I assume you are going through rehabilitation training and I encourage you to keep that up. They are professionals who wil be able to help you get back to 100%. Better you wait until you are at 100%, then doomed to a life stuck at 60%.

Keep on keeping on.
