My teammate was jumping up for a ball with his arms up and ribs exposed a defender comes up and slashes him right across the gut and its not called even though the ref was right in front of him, was this legal or did he just miss it?

yea im pretty sure its illegal. im pretty sure an slap check not put on the hands or shaft or near it is illegal. the ref might have thought the guy was going for the stick and jsut missed and was cutting him some slack. was it a really hard hit?

yea, he got hurt after the game, he has a black line (bruise) across his chest now
