the coaches poll has it right, and has had it right for the past month. the danes should have been #2 in this poll weeks ago. what gives?

ive seen 5 of the top 7 teams play in person so far this year (only duke and gtown missing) and the danes' first liners are just as talented as the big red (who i've seen twice), the hoos, the tiges or anyone else for that matter. the coaches poll is a much more accurate poll as far as i am concerned. stay tuned!

Cornell is a very good team and they have been for the past few years in my opinion them and princeton are the only real talent in the ivy league

UAlbany's schedule so far:
2/24 A Johns Hopkins 8- 7
3/03 A Siena 21- 8
3/10 H Delaware 13- 7
3/13 H Massachusetts 10- 9
3/17 A Drexel 16- 13
3/24 H Hartford 16- 4
3/27 H Colgate 13- 10
3/31 H UMBC 13- 9
4/07 A Stony Brook 14- 5
4/11 A Yale 12- 10
4/14 A Vermont 14- 7
Maybe not the toughest schedule, but they pulled out a big win over Hop and a win over Drexel (who beat UVA earlier in the season). A win over last year's national runners-up (UMASS) doesn't hurt either. I don't know if they deserve the number two spot, but they are definitely contenders.

Man what happened to deleware they were a pretty good team last year..... by the way Lax.com's poll top 20 has albany at number 2 and maryland at 11! I dont know if they change it or not but i think there are a few teams maryland should be ranked over... take a look for yourselves and tell me if you agree

saw them at army and at yale. very impressive to say the least. mitchell is a stud! their outstanding defense will keep them in every game they play.

guess everyone is waiting for the danes to beat the orange before they're considered "for real" this year. the dome will be rocking! an albany win gives them well deserved recruiting credibility going forward. could be a program changing victory.

I coached David here in Moose Jaw for years and you hit the nail on the head... he is a serious talent! Cornell is soooooo solid across the board!!

bstewart, you should be real proud having helped david develop as he has. if you look at all the top teams right now, they all have one thing in common: born and raised in canada...
mitchell at cornell
zach greer at duke
merrick thomson at albany
garrett billings at uva
one of these guys is coming home this year with a championship ring!

We're all proud of David out here. Tiny little Moose Jaw has a pretty storied history... primarily in box lax. I'm heading down to Cornell to catch David's last regular season game vs Hobart... totally looking forward to it! I couldn't agree with you more... Canadian box players seem to transition extremely well into the field game (i.e. last years World Field Championships... yeah Canada!). We've got a lot more "hidden" talent out here in our little town too (we are just so far out in the sticks here that our players get no exposure)... David is actually second in career scoring on our box team over the time he spent in Junior here... we have one kid that out-scored him! David is our premier field player though (leading scorer at the 2002 Canadian U-19 championships... Saskatchewans only national U-19 field championship)... no doubt there. Good to hear from you highlands!
P.S. Where abouts are you from?
