Points Question

Hey im a beginner, and i have a quick question. When i look at stats and stuff on lax.com, i see that in the points column theres like higher numbers than i know anyone could score goals. What i mean is, if goals are the only ways you can get points on your stats, then why are the numbers so high? Is there another way to get points on your stats besides scoring a goal?

its your goals and assists added together to get the total amount of points

yeah, a goal is when you score, a point is either you scoring or an assist.
