I need to do some fundraising for the team that I coach. We're broke....actually worse than broke we're $500 in the hole. What's a good way to fundraise that some of you have done? What companies will donate money(we're non-profit with a tax ID number)? Do any of you work with/for a place that will donate to youth sports? Any help would be appreciated, unless of course you say "do a car wash" or "bake sale"

parents would donate, especially if it's a tax deductable organization....I raised about $1500 from about 11 parents with a letter-writing campaign. You could also go out and get businesses to donate money, and then put all of their logos on the back of a tshirt, then get your team to wear them under their pads, or just around. Put the team logo on front and you should be set.
If it's a school team (high school or college) we've messed with the idea of making posters with sponsers ringing the outside (perhaps with coupons) and our schedule in the center with some pictures. Then you just distribute them to all the businesses that sponser you, and have them hang one up in the window.
