im suprised no evans brothers ether.
ether way with or without snider that is an unbelivable roster

Tavares is there #11.
Lewis was born in England and could quite possibly be playing for them.
I am quite suprised that none of the Evans' are involved but that is one hell of a roster.
Peter Lough to take the faceoffs maybe?
Glad to see Dawson there.
While the world knows where my goaltender alliances lie that is one solid goalie group.
Not alot of western players.
The coaching staff is great. (Go Bats)
Snider is a mystery, that cat is a demon in the dot.

I'm not Canadian...but I have to support my Mammoth men!!! Go Carey, Gajic, Gallant, Nash and Prout!!!!

Not to mention Gait for coach....

Makes me wish I was Canadian for this....

Comparing the goalies from 2003 to this year's squad, only Anthony Cosmo returns (Steve Dietrich and Gee Nash are new to this team, Bob Watson and Pat O' Toole were the other goalies in 2003). Any way I see it, Canada will be far and away the favourites to win the 2007 World Box Championship.

Didn't Chugger hurt his knee the other day? Knees are a pain and if it's serious then it's going to take more then a month for him to recover.

I'm disapointed with the lack of westerners especially when the GM and Coach are from out here. What surprises me even more is the ZERO Toronto Rock players that were able to crack the roster.

This might come into play, but Chugger has had a history of knee problems in the past. In 1998, he tore his ACL on one knee and then in 1999 he tore the ACL on his other knee (don't know which one came first). I'm sure he has recoverd quite well from those, but the after-effects (even though years later) could be a factor.

From what ive heard both lewis and his brother Cayle are going to be playing for team England. Maybe the only chance these two get to play with eachother.

No wood allowed, its basically the NLL rulebook.

I was surprised that Josh Sanderson was not picked. He is the best setup man in the league!

So Wolfenburg, is there much box lacrosse going on in Germany? I think I saw a game in Berlin on Youtube. Do you think Germany will have a team in 2011?

Wasn't it a "game" in Kiel (Hamburg vs. Copenhagen ) you saw?
Well most "Boxlax" is Played in Gyms (as far as I know all) not in Hockey rings.
Sending a team 2011 will be a mostly a money Problem. Playing Boxlacrosse in a Gym is done to Play some Lacrosse in the Winter, while the Field is coverd with snow in Germany. As well the rules are more like Field i.e there is no crosschecking and so on. Therefore it is quite unlikely that Germany will send a Team 2011. On the other hand 1992 nobody expected a German Team at the World Cup 1994 ....

They probably made a good decision in not taking Ratcliff. He's way up there in scoring, sure, but he's primarily an on-ball player who succeeds when he's the go-to guy. He shoots first and passes second, which is fine if you're the best player on your team, but a bad philosophy on an all-star caliber team.

The guys picked instead of him - Shawn Williams and Dan Carey - will mesh better with the team and are just as good at finishing as he is when they get the opportunity.

And as much as I love Josh Sanderson, I couldn't justify including him over either of those two guys.

It's pure speculation on my part, but given that Head Coach Gary Gait played with Snider on Team Canada last year and so knows him reasonably well, I'd venture to say that Snider was asked to play, but turned it down for work-related reasons.

The WILC is a week off work for Snider who had trouble getting time off for the NLL this past season .... plus there's no pay for the WILC.

nash started off as a field goalie....he's extremely good outside the goalie net too, other mammoth players have said that he could play for colorado without being the goalie, either as D or O, he's just a great stick handler.
