i was just wondering if anyone knew the difference between the USLIA vs. DI/DIII. Besides the uslia being club teams, how do they stack up talent wise?

thanks

Some club teams are really good. Some are really bad. It usually depends on the school. It's hard to say. Schools like Kutztown, Bloomsburg and Shippensburg are pretty good talent wise but don't have mens lax to my knowledge. K-town was approached to became Varsity but they turned it down. Now Schools like Penn State and Lehigh have both club and D1 programs. Lehigh is in my league. Bad news for us. One year there whole Varsity team quit because of something with the coach so it was a D1 team play club programs who for the most part don't have a coach.

Alot of guys play club because it's less structured then Varsity. Some chose academics over playing varisty lax so the school they chose doesn;t have a program.

Talent wise it's on par with d3. Some are on par with d2 and schools like lehigh and other big lax schools are basicly like a D1 3rd string

Some are extremely structured and the players work hard and are talented. Not as talented as a group because they are not recruited but individually. Some are actually pretty hard work depending on how seriously the team is organized. They are all different. I have known kids that could not even do a club sport at say like UVA because it was too time consuming with academics. They also raise their own money for the most part for travel and stuff or in some schools the players pay.
I would find it hard to find a club team to beat a top d3 team though. Even my schools team which is ranked like 15 or 14 d3.
It is a good option though if one wants to play lax.

byu is the number 5 d1 uslia school. they'd go d1 ncaa, but title IX prevents it. besides that, the program needs some growing room, and their current players probably wouldn't be on the team. they'd also practice 4 more hours a day. that's what byu's head coach told us.

so the question is... colorodo state (#1 club team) is evenly matched with a #1-10, 11-25, honorable mention, below honorable mention DIII school?

This is the only comp I can do for you, hope it helps.
The team I hope to play for ended the season at number 14 in D3,
They beat Colorado College last year ( d3 team) 19 to 7. Colorado College is unranked.
Colorado College beat the number 1 USLIA team 12 TO 11 in season play. I am not sure if that helps because I do not know how they rank the USLIA and there well may be much better USLIA teams in actuality.

Title IX sucks. Yeah it's helped womens sports grow. But Football should not be counted on it. There are womens football teams out there but i am pretty sure that None are involved with colleges. I do know there is a 18and up league on the east coast cause i've seen news reports on TV about the Philly Liberty Belles
