Despite the fact that we did this once already, lax season only lasts so long so I have to talk about it every chance I get.
Baltimore vs. Long Island
Baltimore had a tight one against New Jersey.
Deciding factor: Baltimore's attack experience was too strong.
Long Island was pretty much never in doubt against Boston.
Deciding factor: LI's defnse was too stifling for Conor Gill, who I would have rated as a top attackman this year.
In a matchup of great D vs. great O, the D takes it in a big game. To prove my point, I'll use last year's Super Bowl :-)
X-Factor: Jalbert is just getting better all the time while Baltimore lacks a stand-out middie workhorse (Yes, Gait, right right, my point stands). Mark Millon can be shutdown by a solid D-man, LI has 3 of those.
I already picked Long Island to win. But just to add a new element, I'm going to pick a score, 19-16.
Pick: Lizards, 19-16.
That's what I got.

My pick:
Baltimore 14--Long Island 13
Reason:
Baltimore's attack and intensity could never match what I saw in the LI vs Bos game on Friday. Long Island came out with a chip on their shoulder, waiting for anyone to knock it off. They dominated every aspect of their game and took no prisinors. But the single thing that won the game against Boston, will be their undoing against the much more experienced Baltimore team.
Baltimore took the time to watch that game, and noticed the same things I did. They took note of how the Lizards approached their game, and how quickly they took over and forced the Cannons into submission. If the Bayhawks hang strong.....the Lizards will get close, just not on top.

Longhorn Middie was close! 15-14 LI in OT! Great game, but I wanted to see my Wings players in a better mood when my site authors and I interviewed them. They feel they got screwed by the refs (and rightfully so) on a questionable non-call on a loose ball push. But thats all in the past now....
Congrats to the Lizards on a well played game!

Congrats to the Lizards on a well played game! i dont think that was push. Im no lizards fan and i dont think ti was. Players were loosing there footing all game long. To me it looked like he just lost his fotting, it think it was a good no call. I got the winning goal number right WOOHOO!

Actually Stopper....it was a push. But nevertheless, it was a great shot by Lowe to win it.
