Heartbreak Losses

Now that the high school season is well underway, have any of you guys suffered any really tough losses, or given somebody a tough loss. Today, against a pretty big rival, the game was back and forth the entire time. With less than a minute to go, we tied the game, however, with 11 seconds left, the other team scored, and then had a big celebration on our field. Our team was so excited that we had came back to tie the game, and then we got our hearts broken when the face off guy takes the ball the entire field and scores.

our season just finished, it was our fourth strait loss in the league championship, it doesnt get tougher than that

ouch. my team just lost sat. nite to a team we should of beaten easily. worst thing was it was first lost in 2 yrs. ...and the game was really publicized.

our game was tied with 0:55 left. our goalie made a big save and ran out of the crease to try and clear the ball. he didn't pass it so he got doubled and the riding attack knocked the ball out of his stick and the ball slowly rolled into the goal with :07 left
we lost the face and lost by 1

Yeah i would say my team has givin a team a good loss.... my team is a brand new team... when i say brand new team i mean guys who have been playing for a couple months.... and were pretty good for only playing a couple months... noone on our team has played a year or more.... and our first game was against Galena High School who has been playing together for over 2 years now and is supposed to be a top team in Nevada.... Well we showed them whos boss.... we beat them the first game
7-3, then the second time we played them we beat them 8-6, our other two wins cam form the crap team in our league Damont Ranch 8-0, and either 6-3 or 7-4 dont remember. the only tough team in our league is Reno they worked us pretty good 10-5.

last year lost to dulany by 1 goal is the state semi finals, a very hard loss.

In the semi's of regionals we lost in double OT because our goalie dropped the ballinto the goal.

We were playing a team that had absolutely creamed us the first time we played them, I think it was like 16-7 or something like that. But when we played them the second time we came back in the second half and it was back and forth really intense for the last 15 minutes. We ended up losing by one goal in the last two minutes and almost came back. The second half of that game was probaly the best I have ever played in my life. It was absolutely incredible and I think we have a really good chance of beating them

well my team still has yet to win but today we we leading the first halgf then they tied it up then we were leading with 2 mins left and they tied it up and we had to go into sudden death over time and we lost. much more painful losing when its close than when its one sided

we played a team in the city finals who had beaten us twice on the season so we really wanted the championship game badly. we came out playing the best we had all year and jumped out to and 8-3 lead at half. The third quarter we did not win a single faceoff so they had the ball the entire time. They scored 6 straight times and took a 9-8 lead going into the fourth. it was scoreless untill the last 50 seconds when a guy on our team had a behind the back assist to tie up the game. We won the face and had 4 shots on goal (2 of which hit the pipe) in the final minute but didnt score. They won the face in OT and took it down. There was one of those things where theres like 10 people going for the same ground ball right next to the crease and one of their guys came up with it and shot with no angle and the ball bounces into just about the only place the ball could have fit and we lose. It was one of the toughest things a team could face.

well the first time we played reno they rocked us 10-5 today we had our rematch and beat them 11-1, we gave them their first loss

my hs is a first year team with no wins and we were going against another team same story... we were winning 1-0 until the third quarter they were winning 1-2. with 30 sec left we tied it up for overtime... the game wnt into triple overtime our goalie saved so many nice shots. the other team brought it down some kid set an illegal screen and the oter kid shot and won it. the ref counted the goal with the flag
