Since we don't know what sheets you are using I would hazard a guess that it means 'Sent Off.' On the OLA sheets is just says 'Off.' What column is the acronym in?

The Column is on each of the point Cast official NLL gamesheets

Heres an example:

Name G A PIM SOG SOFF LB FO
2 C.Schiller 0 0 0 2 0 2 -
11 R.Thorpe 0 0 2 0 0 2 0-1
15 S.Evans (sh) 3 0 0 4 4 8 1-5
17 S.Toll 1 0 0 3 0 9 -

I think I could go with sent off, but then wouldn't that player ( in this example Evans) have shown something in the penalties in minutes (PIM) column?

All the other things make sense to me....[g] goals [a] assists [pim] penalties in minutes [sog] shots on goal [soff] sent off??? [lb] loose balls [fo] face offs taken-won

It does stand for shots off goal.

That makes perfect sense now. From the Sting's defeat of the Roughnecks, our top scorer, Lewis Ratcliff, was effectively shut down by the Sting's defense last weekend. He had tons of shots on net [12] but they were mostly weak from the outside.

12 shots on goal
4 shots off goal
1 goal
0 assists
0 penalties
1 loose ball and
- no faceoffs taken

<<from the NLL PointCast official game sheet>>
42 L.Ratcliff 1 0 0 12 4 1 -

OK...Give the Yank some credit here boys..... :agree:

You guys are big on shooting percentage so it makes life easier for the statisticians. Its not as big of an issue in field lacrosse although still tracked....
