so i had a game today and i dont know if the refs were high, drunk or just new but something was deff. up.. just throwing that out there.. but whats happens if alright theres a big scrum and a slash happens on our team.. no flag thrown.. we get possesion.. no flag.. we run a play.. we score.. bring it back to face.. and the refs calls off the goal for slashing stops the face and take our guy and throws him in the penalty box.. is this a good call ?? :monkey: the second thing is a one ref blows his whistle sends our guy off middle of play for a illegal pick but the play keeps going because the assitant said play one? what happens here?

Newbie refs. It's a part of lacrosse, unfortunately. Just play through it and beg your dads and fans to buy some stripes and take the test.

Yes new referees can be annoying. But before we complain, maybe we should think back to when we were new players or coaches. Remember when your team had the wrong number of players on the field, lined up wrong, called for sub horns when the ball went over the endline, tried to tell the referee about "Rules" that don't exist, asked stupid questions, couldn't catch or throw, and generally didn't know or follow the rules? You think that didn't annoy the referee? But did you hear the referee complain? NO!
And I am being polite by suggesting that these errors are only made by new players and coaches.

Well, IF your team had committed a slash and there SHOULD have been a flag thrown (along with a whistle if the ball was loose or your team had possession) then yes, taking away a goal scored by your team was the correct call. Perhaps the official was having trouble getting the flag out of his waistband, and it took until the ensuing faceoff to do so.
