well, what can i say? I have had my AL6000 for about 3 years now as my game shaft for box lacrosse, and i have to say it is freakin amazing. In 2004, i snapped my DB803, and i had this as a backup stick for the rest of the game. I guess i didnt get around to changing the shafts up again for that year, and this thing lasted going through all the cross checking (im a D man for box) and and slashes. This is "A" lacrosse mind you. Now, this is the 3rd year i will be using it. It isnt bent at all, but its scratched up quite a lot. I certainly cant belive that this thing hasnt even bent in the 3 years i have used it!
Did i somehow get a stronger shaft than most aluminum STX shafts? or is the AL6000 really this strong??

pretty sure i dented my brothers old alloy6000 with my kpro and the thing almost broke in half, yet the kpro barely got a scratch, so i would say its just your shaft.

i used an AL6000 in my game today (we won) and i took one shot to it and it dented/bent so it looks like im back to a klyte or db803

I actually think AL6000's may be stronger than most people think. One of our defensement has one and although there a few scratches and minor dents, it has held up through all the cross-checks, wrap-arounds, and other crushing checks he throws. My very first shaft was an AL6000, and although I only played simple intramurals, it still worked really well for me.

You prly got an older one that is really thick and strong unlike the new ones that dent/break all the time

There is a difference between the defense and short stick version for sure. The defense version is a tank and the middy sucks.

My al6000 lasted my whole 7th grade season (first year) without one ding or dent and at the end of our last game (when it was over) i smacked it on the goal and it bent at a 45 degree angle atleast. Bends, but doesnt dent....because it will bend before it dents...ya feel me?

yea i got the old school, hard as balls stx shaft. its the best metal shaft i have. heavy but it brings the pain and raises hell on attack. also you can do some serious damage to there stick if you can weild it. awsome, people complain about it being heavy but for pole its my tank in my arsenal.

Like said above you most likely have the old ones that are all white. My friend has been using a ol' skool one for 2 varsity seasons and no dents. The newer ones are extremely weak. I can (without any exaggeration) break one over my knee.

I had an low end alluminum shaft I used for over a season, it remained dentless, I was think this thing is beastly, right after I thought that, it bent like a banana, still only has like one dent, and is stronger than newer al6000s.

here is a nice story. Last season, game against our cross town rivals and were working the ball around. the attackman drops the ball so the defenceman jumps out. he checks the attackmans stick down as he is picking up the gb. i kid you not his shaft was a true 90 degrees. its was an AL6000

I had an AL my first year and the thing was an absolute tank and didn't sustain a single dent while a kid this year turned his into a boomerang during the first scrimmage. They just dont make an AL like they did in the good ole days.

There was a guy on Navy about 2 years ago that used one with a Blade.

If he is talking about the Al6000pro I would believe him because those are built like tanks but if its a regular Al 6000 it would have been dented and bent by now.

The Al6000 pro is not a beast. I don't even know how they last people more than 1 game. The only use I've found for Al6000's is making a crankshaft for fun out of one. I can bend one over my knee pretty easily. I think I might throw my Proton Power on one and see how long the thing lasts.

It might actually be the old one with the thicker sidewalls. Regular ''now-a-days'' AL's are pretty thin and really weak.
