My computers Internet is broked.

Every time I try to get on IE7 on my computer it wont connect. I press the diagnose connection problem link, after it's done it says,

"Windows cannot connect to the internet using http, https, or ftp. This is probably caused by firewall settings on this computer.

Check the firewall settings for the HTTP port(80), HTTPS port(443) and FTP port(21)."

The internet connection is strong but it won't work. Although My laptops internet works fine.

Any suggestions?

Configure your firewall so those ports are open. Google "how to open a port".

And don't use IE7. Use Firefox.

it will ask for a password: admin/admin
in the top right corner press: advanced
one of the tabs will be: forwarding
and then forward the ports

It still wont let me login, im not sure if im typing the correct username and password. And im using windows firewall.

it can be either depending on a few things, but if your 192.168.1.1 is prompting for a password, then its that one, you just gotta figure out the password

It varies router to router. Find out what kind of router you have and I will help you from there.

That should get you in if the others don't. If it doesn't, someone in the house has already changed the default settings and you'll to have to get them to help. I seriously doubt it's the router though, especially since your laptop works fine.

The problem is now solved. I don't know how but who cares, it works now. :)
