Releif pitcher Josh Hancock of the St. Louis Cardinals was killed in a car crash this morning. Living in the huge baseball town of St. Louis, this is devastating. I just watched him pitch yesterday. Heres the complete story.

This is so sad. Being a longtime Caridnals fan, When Darryl Kile died a few years back, I was taken aback. What makes both cases a little bit better is that they both died not by some drive-by shooting, but by slight;y better causes. All you baseball haters, don't bring down this trajic event by talking garbage in this thread.

This is alot worse here in St.Louis then it is everywhere else in the country obviously. This town thrives on baseball, and with the cardinals struggling already....this was a huge blow to the whole city. After the Daryll Kile incident 5 years ago, its very strange that this would happen again.
RIP Josh Hancock

Makes his death ok? Depends on your outlook. He didn't kill anyone else with his own stupidity, but he also wasn't smart enough to not cause his own death.
So, is his death ok in my eyes? Eh. Is the gene pool potentially a better place? Possibly.
Famous people, celebrities, and athletes are no better than you or I. Don't put them on a pedestal that negates their faults/errors/crimes.

We here in St Louis are all pretty bummed out. Not only has one of our pitchers died, but a longtime coach at one of the major highschool lacrosse powerhouses has just passed away as well
