I think this is Rochester's year. A good chunk of this team also plays together year round with Peterborough in the summer. It will most likely come down to team defense that will win it all this year.

Don't be too sure, I think it's anyones game. Teams you don't think are going to win have been coming up and showing up the teams that everyone is placing bets on. Either way, this game is going to be amazing.

Rochester might not have it as the game will not be played in Rochester. Unfortunately the circus is in town and will not change their date so the NLL Championship game will be played at a neutral site (ie: Toronto, Hamilton or Buffalo)

I'm hoping Arizona takes it, I'm not a fan of Arizona, but the East thinks they are better than the west and I think that if the west takes it this year that makes two years in a row that the west has won.....with east having the field. (maybe not home advantage but being played in the east). I think that the west is just as good as the east and I'm hoping it's proven this year again.

exactly what i wasn't thinking...

That was more boasting than fact.

The Knighthawks are perennial post-season chokers. They havn't finished worse then 3rd in over ten years but are never ready come playoff time. They're virtually the same team every year with the exception of Shawn Evans and while they have one of the most talented teams in the league, they can never seem to pull it off. I'll believe it when I see it but for now I'm all for Arizona.

Why does that make it a neutral site? What determines who gets the home game?

The game will be played in Arizona. Kind of puts a wierd twist on it. I still think that Rochester will take the title, it'll just be alot harder in front of Arizona's crowd.

Is it wrong for me to want Arizona to fold?

Yes it is. Their turnaround in the last few years has been unbelievable. Their making it to the championship 2 years ago seemed kind of like a fluke, but they got a lot better last year, and even more so this year. If anybody has earned it, Arizona has. GO STING!

I am so mad that the game is in arizona. I was going to buy tickets just for the championship game instead of a playoff game because i don't have a lot of money with it being lax season, and now it gets moved to arizona.

Scratch my last post about it being played in the east and the west winning, I'm still going for Arizona only for the fact that I want the west to win, but I think Roch will put up a good fight in front of Arizona's home crowd. Still, I think the game should have been placed in a neutral atmosphere, but I understand that if one has home field advantage the ticket sales will be massive.

Arizona should give away free tickets to this game or they will probably hit about 7000 people. They weren't originally supposed to get this game, so any profit they get will be gravy. Instead, why not invite 19000 people to the game free so next year they are hooked.

Arizona is on the market, and Rochester is going to make the Stings Nest the new "Hawks House".

Well the only NLL games I've ever seen on VS have been Rochester. So go Rochester.

The game is live on versus, it really is too bad they couldn't find somewhere to play it in the Rochester area. At 16-2 they really deserved to host the game. The 'Hawks owner, Steve Donner, wanted the game to be played at the ACC in Toronto. I would have been all for that, but the league voted to have it at Arizona. Rochester is really unhappy about this and it might make them that much more amped come game time.

Plus with the playoff game, most people in their "hometowns" have been disappointed when the other team won. I'm rooting for arizona....but either way, whoever wins, it will be one amazing game. :agree:

Surprisingly, it seems Sportsnet is showing the game on all their stations. The schedule shows the broadcast starting at 7 PM ET.

Let's have a look...according to NLL.com.

Arizona
188 Goals For / 181 Goals Against.
Dawson was second overall in NLL Scoring with 107 Points.
Rob Blasdell 10.22 GAA with a save percentage of .761.
Four players with more than fifty points on the season.
1160 Loose Balls on the year.
No major injuries to report.

Rochester
249 Goals For / 194 Goals Against.
John Grant won the scoring title with 111 points.
Pat O'Toole 11.80 GAA with a save percentage of .774.
Six players over 50 points on the season.
1290 Loose Balls on the year.
No major injuries to report.

While the Sting does have a quality defensive core I don't think that they'll be able to stop Grant, Evans, Evans, Williams and Accursi. Dawson, Plunkett, Conn, Malawsky and Malawsky will score. But I believe O'Toole to be the better of the two goalies and Rochester's man up will be a force if Arizona gets in penalty trouble at any point.

Rochester 17 - 11.
