my teams last game of the season was yesterday and it was just one of those perfect games and it feels almost like your in a movie...we were down 5-0 in the third quarter then we figured out that we wanted to win more than the other team so we went on a 6 score streak in the 3rd and 4th quarter... then the other team scored with about fourty five seconds left in the game ,tied it up, then it went into overtime. so then it is pretty much hardcore defense and offense and some amazing saves by either goalies and then with about 30 seconds left a kid takes this crazy shot and the goalie blocks it but it falls out of his stick and rolls into the goal.my team went CRAZY it was the best feeling ever. im not going to lie that was just what makes you love the game so much... have any of you ever had a game like that where it is just the ideal game and you get the best feeling ever just like one of lifes natural highs?
(ps if you win its all fine and dandy but if you lose in one of those games it is probably the worst feeling ever)

We have had two one goal losses this season. The first one was were we tied it with 20 seconds left and it went into OT then the other team won the face and the game shortly there after. Worst feeling ever. The other one was when the opposing team scored with nine seconds left to win it in regulation. Those losses are not fun.

Wasnt my game today, but two teams in our league battling it out in first round playoffs. One team, Santa Barbara, was second to last in the league, a huge underdog against the other team, Agoura, #3 in league, who was expected to cruch them. Starts off 1-1, then 2-1 Santa Barbara. They go on that streak to 5-1, when Agoura gets going again with a few goals of their own to bring the score to 5-6 towards the beginning of the fourth quarter. The quarter progresses, Agoura puts 2 more on the board to take the lead for the first time, 7-6. SB retaliates, tied at 7, 6~ minutes remaining. About 5 1/2 minutes progress of solid defense and exstatic cheers from the crowd. The clock ticks away, down to 0:45. Goal, Santa Barbara! But Agoura wasn't out yet. At 14 seconds remaining, they hit net and tie it up again, 8-8.
Overtime. Back and forth ball, tight defense on both ends with some great saves to back it up. Agoura controls the ball most of the first 2 minutes, but a switch in posession, a well timed cut, and a bounce shot to the inside post wins it for Santa Barbara. Tha one game must have made their season, or at least, it ould have made mine.

What makes lacrosse worthwhile to me?
The people I play with.

The game we won this year was a close game. The game was a late start so it got dark, and the game was close and a hard fought game. Going into the 4th I think we were down 2, and we came back went up 1, tied and went down 1, and went back up and won 9-8 within the last minute. It was a great feeling.
Also, I love lacrosse because I get to beat people, and the rush I get when I'm playing.

i get a huge rush from playing -- especially when i've got the ball or i'm covering the ball carrier. i love just hanging out and playing a fast game of catch with the guys and shooting on goal-trying to act cool and pick corners(bottom left thanks)

we were playing the second or third team in the state (at that time), and we had the best game of our lives. It was tied with a minute left 10-10 or 9-9 or something. The other team had an all-american who is playing at maryland next year, and he scored with 4.7 seconds left. It was awful

You make an astute observation. One's passion or intensity for the game will magnify the emotional roller coaster of tight games and dramatic endings.
Lacrosse is the most magnificent game played on foot.
