getting navy with maroon dye on head already?

and I was wondering if I wanted the maroon part to turn navy, would it if I used navy rit dye. BTW, it turned maroon because I used navy over dying the whole head orange so it came out maroon. How much navy would I need to turn the maroon into navy also?

how would you plan on removing it? i guess you could fade it using rit dye remover and then use a very dark navy solution to dye over it but the maroon is very dark already so you may not be able to dye over it and get the color you desire.

you could try and use some boiling water and bleach but idk

depending on how dark you want it i usually put 2 packs of wine in and then 3/4 or a full pack of dark brown. u can just take your head out and check the color. if its not dark enough.... add more dark brown.

I'd have to say no on the bleach because it will probably weaken the head. I would use some dye remover on the maroon half with lots of hot water soakings to lighten it up. Then I would go for the blue dye.

the dye remover works but that stuff stinks like pure but fermented in a pile of dead babies (no joke)
