Jimalax + UPS = bad

I'm sorry if there is already a topic on this, but I did search and didn't find anything pertaining to this subject. I just bought jimalax for the second time, and they seem to be using UPS this time, I frowned at first site. When I last ordered, I got my things shipped with USPS, in about 2 days it was in my mailbox, no complaints. Now my order with UPS is an 8 day wait plus the day to verify payment. So my question is: Why did jimalax switch shippers? Seems like a bad mistake to me.

ups is just more reliable. though jimalax used usps and did fine with them, using confirmation tracking and stuff, that didnt mean that they wouldnt lose a few packages, happens to everyone.

Yea, I know. It used to take 3 days for me to get my order, not it takes like a week and a half to two weeks.

It use to be a lot faster? Just this Saturday was my first day ordering from Jimalax, and according to UPS tracking, my package will be arriving tomorrow, so I'm satisfied. 4-5 days isn't that bad. I'm in VA. I'd think its better than USPS if they actually lose packages.

yea its fine for people who live just acouple states away but i live in washingotn and it takes forever to get to here i wish you could chose in your order how they shiped it

I'm sure you could contact them about paying the difference is the wait really is a problem.

The frustrating thing with USPS is, unless they see a barcode attached to the packaged (deliv conf, insur, etc) then technically-for them-delivery is optional. You learn this the hard way.

I don't really care though because atleast I'm getting quality stuff, though looking at my back up un strung does suck, I can wait a week..

I absolutely hate UPS with a passion. They are expensive, and for the most part incredibly slow, however with Jima I get my stuff next day through UPS, which is awesome.

you could always ask jima if you could pay even more for next day delivery

or ask them to use USPS

I usually receive mine within 2-4 days of placing the order.

I still get mine in the same amount of time as USPS (around 2 days after order is placed, give or take a day), the only thing I hate is getting raped on UPS shipping.

I see, thanks for answering my guys. It is fine for east coast and eastern states apparently, but they need a better method for us west coast players.

I live in Bellevue, and it only took 5 days for me to get my last order. of course it's not going to get to you in 2 days when you live 3,000 miles away from the store, I mean honestly. A week isn’t bad. they are an upstate NY company, you live in Washington, do you really think you are going to get your order as fast as someone in Syracuse? 5 days isn't bad at all for being all the way across the country. More often then not, if you pay attention to your stick, you can tell you are going to need new strings, so just make your orders accordingly

when i order from other etailers like newegg, i order ups and shipping is fine. it's NEVER been more than 3 days when stuff is coming from their california warehouse

i live on the west (new york) side of vermont and it usually takes only a day or two to get here...for ups or usps. doesnt matter to me, all i care about is the mesh.

Well I just ordered some spools from jima about 5 days ago and they came three days ago. The package came so quick I didn't even realize who it was from, till I saw the label. I have had no problems. Besides who can argue with freebies? :-)

UPS is the worst shipper for international services,my god.I refuse to use jima anymore.I asked and JIM and Alicia said that it was inconvenient for them.UPS just absolutely rapes you on shipping charges.I love when you have to pay $30 brokerage fees for something you only spent $35 on...
