Instead of rolling of the top of the stick the ball comes out on my U string. This makes for a very unusual throw (or atleast for me). Any suggestions would be great. THANKS

Fix your shooter set up, that's obviously the problem, you have too much whip.

yea like live4it said just loosen your U a bit, or untie it and throw for a little bit until its perfect and then tie it again

loosen up the U. You want it to be gradually tighter. The topstring should be the tightest, the next should be a little looser, etc.

I did. even when I took the U out it still had that sort of throw. I'm trying to get a little more lip. The mesh was really hard so I got it a little softer, I'll see if that works.

you want it to throw off the plastic?

you probably have too much of a channel and the balls getting stuck in the mesh, it had nothing to do with shooters. Redo the sidewalls and make the top a little looser

when doing mesh, i string all the shooters VERY tight at first, but don't tie the knots.
i then play some light catch, and the shooters seem to loosen up perfectly.
once you make that one throw that is perfect, immediately tie your knots, and pull the slack out of the strings

yea, you'd be surprised at how many guys want it to throw almost borderline off the plastic. A lot of guys on my team cant throw with any whip at all-and i dont blame them either....

if the shooter fix up doesnt fix your problem it's probably got something to do with your sidewall configuration(did you double up anywhere? how tight is your sidewall? how broken-in is your mesh?)

Try untieing your top string, play wall ball for about five minutes or until the problem you talked about is noticably gone. When you feel confortable about how the stick is throwing, tie the top string. Usually works for me when I string my heads.

see that?

as for you, browny, do you have any more throw strings besides the U? if you have a nylon and you want lip, take it out as well. the problem ight be that there is a kind of "pocket" right under the U. post a pic and we might be able to help you more.
