They may have got them from UNC as part as a deal, and figured that they couldn't get them as full price.

yah all i can think of is they were part of the extra stock that UNC got so they sold them to lacrosse.com then in turn sold them to us.

I found a site that has custom superfly's that are $30 cheaper than normal superflys.... I think its because they don't sell better than originals.

well i heard a rumor that this year UNC was looking into a deal with gait since the whole warrior/brine deal and merging.

i could only assume that gait made up some stuff for UNC. schools don't always go directly to the manufacturer, they prob went through GA and thats how they got stuck with the stock.

usually all companies make up pads in other schools colors and logos for promotional pieces. like at the national convention, coaches go to this. if they show up and stop by a vendor tent...and he tries on a pair of gloves and likes them. at least they can see what it would look like in the color swatches they need.

which is what happened in the case with UMASS. coaching staff tried the gloves on, they were hooked.

I am extremely disappointed right now. I ordered 3 of those kpros this morning and everything went through cause they were in stock, and then I get an e-mail like 2 hours ago saying that there was an error on the site and that I wasn't getting the poles. my guess is that gait made up some gloves for UNC to try out and possibly went through GA to get them the gloves. UNC went to Brine... thus the gloves are just sitting around. i think i might e-mail GA about it. maybe they have some other gloves kicking around.

Got mine, rocking gloves. They were a little tight at first. I had STX Gladiator 13s and they were a lot more comfortable, these seem to be stretching just right. The velcro in the cuff allows a lot of adjustment. Really awesome gloves for the money.

lying? There is no velcro on the top of the wrist of yours that you can adjust the flex of the cuff with? There sure is on me. No, not on the bottom of the cuff to close it. Sorry if my terminology is not exact. Not sure how else to describe it. I'm referring to the wrist area by the back of the top of the hand.

They are very tight fitting. They break in pretty well and seem like they have great protection. There isn't that much ventilation (like all Gait gloves), but the Mutants still get an A in my book. Also the open cuff makes movement a lot more unrestricted than the ones that are closed with velcro.

They are like $50 cheaper than all the other top of the line equipment too.

actually only warrior does single customs. brine is 24, so is stx

Great Atlantic lacrosse is based out of Carboro North Carolina, which is practically on the chapel hill campus, which might explain them having these gloves.
