i am the only goalie on my team ?
looks like you have to play, if you dont your letting your team down even more because theyd have to play a really bad goalie(who isnt a goalie)?

don't do it. i feel your pain man. i broke my foot the practice before my first game. i was gonna play and just tape it up becuase my team really needed me(they went 5-12 or something cause i was hurt). it's better to just sit out, let it heal and play summer ball and camp. think about it, if you play, you could damage your hand even worse and might not be able to play again.
But if i were in YOUR situation i would play. as long as you can hold your stick, just try not to get hit in the hand
good luck either way

I did this once. I took a hockey sock and cut a hole in it. Then I put on a thumb from a crappy glove and I put a bunch of foam in it. Then I added plastic to to reinforce it. This was a 7th Grade game. I wouldn't do it in a High School game though. Let It heal and train to get better.

get a pair of hockey gloves, (eagles or rbks if possible) and then wear a set of ag's over the cast and maybe even tape on some foam. Then your set....

your hand is broken LET IT HEAL. noone can fault you for not playing with a broken hand. but if you decide to play take alot of pain killers and throw on some hockey gloves with foam padding taking up any excess room and hope for the best

What i would do is tell my defense i cant throw so they have to take the ball up field. And then you should pad up your arm and maybe where extra pads and use your body to stop the shots and be protective of your hand.

I vote that you play. I totally agree with sidewinder, get some hockey gloves, and then out some foam on your cast and put of AG's over that.

perfect time to see how tough you are, man up! just kidding, playing with injuries is a bad idea. just try on a glove that fits and pass a little and maybe take some shots, it may not be that bad. just try to do it before the day of the game.

great honors for that, but be cautious about using it. tiplax really couldve helped his team out this season, they were terrible. and he was smart to stay off of it because risking permanent injury isnt something to walk the border of. i got a serious concussion a week before an important scrimmage and i started playing then just got knicked on teh helmet, not a shot just a hard love tap from a shaft, and was forced out of the game by the ref because i was acting weird. im glad i didnt play the rest because if i did get injured i couldve never been able to play again like FLD and i cant imagine something like that at my age. just be smart about your decision.
