ok so I'm thinking of playing goalie next season, I know all about normal mesh and what has hold and how to add or remove whip, but I'm clueless when it comes to goalie mesh. So is there any way to make a massive closed sidewall goalie's pocket with 10 d mesh and have very little whip? How exactly would I go by doing this?

They just were. But, goalie mesh is regular mesh doubled up, so i suggest trying to make a whipless 5d pocket then go to the 10d. But, your best bet is trial and error, so just mess around.

using 10D, use 2 diamonds per sidewall once you get 3 sets of holes down. That will help to give you a 'ramp' up to the release pointget the sidewalls super-tight for whipless, and i'd suggest using 2 straights and a big U to get a little hold out of it
and j/w WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE WHIP?
i have SO MUCH whip in ALL my sticks lol

thanks that's the most help I've gotten in the subject, I really don't want to do trial and error, because I have little access to goalie mesh besides jimalax and I don't have the money to be buying up different types of mesh right now, it's not as much that I hate whip, just I play D and I my razer has very little whip and I can clear the ball farther a lot easier with low whip, plus I'd rather over throw the ball than under throw it.

use jima/gait hard mesh you cant get a better mesh choice.just double then triple up and you'll get a nice little bag that throws like an attack pocket.

someone suggested to me to do this pattern in the sidewall: 1,1,2,2,3,3,3
I interlocked and kept everything super tight and came out with a 2.5 ball pocket with very little whip (shooters gave me a bit). I just read another thread that suggests 3 straight rolled shooters for a whipless pocket

it all depends how u throw
i have a 10 d pocket with no whip i throw strait overhand to
its basic stx mesh or w.e and i just used the whole pice of mesh all the way down then i pulled the bottom all the way to the plastic and pulled the sides around the channel in tight and then just put 3 shooting strings top one tight as hell and losend them as i went
just make ur pocket and work with it
